Scandinavian designer Johannes Molin merges math, nature and personal genealogy in his interactive tabletop accessory Infinite Tree. The math? Each wood "leaf" has the proportions of the Golden Ratio, a measure thought to drive our ideas of classic beauty. Nature? That refers to the piece's tapered silhouette and center pole suggestive of an evergreen tree. Genealogy? Evergreen trees are ubiquitous among the forests of his native Scandinavia.
Mix these ingredients together and you get a delightful tabletop accessory formed from wood slabs that can be rotated 360 degrees around the pole. Swivel them one way and you get a twisted helix shape; push them another way and you get a pure pyramid. Push them again and you get...anything you want!
Great for the holidays, but versatile enough to look good on display all year round!
Infinite Tree is made from sustainable Beech wood (it's only natural). Measures 17 x 9 1/4 x 4 1/4 (43.1 x 23.4 x 10.7 cm).
